Hardy native shrub with bright green cylindrical bottlebrush flowers in spring and summer, contrasting against fine dark green foliage. Attracts nectar-feeding birds and insects.

Callistemon pachyphyllus ‘Green’ – green bottlebrush

APPEARANCE: Dense, low to medium shrub with fine, needle-like dark green leaves. Cylindrical, bright green bottlebrush flowers appear in warm months, creating an unusual and eye-catching display.
ORIGIN: Native to coastal regions of eastern Australia.
USE FOR: Wildlife gardens, low hedging, coastal plantings, feature shrub, or mass planting for colour and habitat.
CLIMATE: Hardy in most climates; tolerates coastal conditions, light frost, and periods of dryness once established.
PLANTING: Prefers full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Mulch well and use a low-phosphorus native fertiliser at planting.
CARE: Water regularly until established (around 12 weeks). Lightly prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new blooms.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH: Approx. 1–2 m high x 1.5–2 m wide.
