Fine-leafed native shrub with masses of small white star-shaped flowers in summer, creating a delicate, airy display. Aromatic foliage adds interest year-round. Excellent for hedging, screening, or as a feature in native gardens.

Baeckea linifolia ‘Clarence River’ – swamp myrtle, fine-leafed baeckea

APPEARANCE: Slender, upright evergreen shrub with fine, narrow leaves. In summer, branches are covered in small, white, starry blooms that attract pollinators.
ORIGIN: Native to eastern Australia, naturally occurring along the Clarence River region.
USE FOR: Low to medium hedges, screening, native gardens, feature planting, and cut foliage.
CLIMATE: Hardy in most climates; tolerates light frost and periods of dryness once established.
PLANTING: Grows best in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Will also tolerate moist soils, making it suitable for a range of garden positions. Mulch well at planting.
CARE: Water regularly until established (around 12 weeks). Lightly prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage dense growth.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH: 2–3 m high x 1–2 m wide.
