Waterhousea floribunda 'Green Avenue' - 140mm Pot

$15.95

Graceful evergreen with pendulous, glossy dark green foliage that often emerges in soft pink or bronze tones. Summer brings clusters of fragrant, fluffy white flowers, followed by pale pink to green edible berries. Ideal as a feature tree or a lush privacy screen.

Waterhousea floribunda – weeping lilly pilly, satin ash, pendant-foliage screen tree

APPEARANCE: Medium to large evergreen tree with narrow, wavy-edged lance-shaped leaves up to 15 cm long. New growth flushes pink or bronze before maturing to deep green. Creamy-white flowers in spring to summer are followed by pale pink to green berries.
ORIGIN: Native to the rainforests of eastern Australia from New South Wales to central Queensland.
USE FOR: Feature tree, privacy screening, avenue planting, or softening hard landscapes with its weeping foliage.
CLIMATE: Prefers full sun to part shade in moist, well-drained soil. Adaptable to a range of conditions; tolerates light frost and short dry periods once established.
PLANTING: Plant in sunny to lightly shaded locations. Mulch well and apply a slow-release fertiliser for native plants at planting.
CARE: Water regularly until established (around 12 weeks), then occasional watering as needed. Lightly prune after flowering to maintain desired shape or hedge height.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH: Typically 10–15 m high x 8–10 m wide in cultivation; can be kept smaller with pruning.
