APPEARANCE: Small to medium evergreen tree with a dense crown of glossy, dark green leaves. Produces clusters of highly fragrant, frangipani-like flowers in spring, fading from cream to deep yellow.
ORIGIN: Native to the rainforests of Queensland and New South Wales, also found in New Guinea.
USE FOR: Feature planting, fragrant gardens, avenues, and wildlife gardens.
CLIMATE: Suited to warm temperate and subtropical climates; tolerates light frost once established. Prefers a sheltered position in cooler areas.
PLANTING: Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Mulch well and apply a slow-release fertiliser for natives at planting.
