Delicate, clumping native perennial with slender, arching leaves and sprays of small, fragrant, star-shaped mauve flowers in spring and summer. Hardy and low-maintenance, perfect for mass planting, borders, and rockeries.

Arthropodium fimbriatum – chocolate lily, fringed lily

APPEARANCE: Tufting perennial with narrow, grass-like foliage. Produces airy sprays of dainty mauve to purple flowers with fringed petals and a sweet, chocolate-like fragrance.
ORIGIN: Native to a wide range of Australia, often found in open woodlands and grasslands.
USE FOR: Borders, cottage and native gardens, rockeries, mass planting, and fragrant garden displays.
CLIMATE: Hardy in most climates; drought and frost tolerant once established.
PLANTING: Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Mulch well to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
CARE: Water regularly until established (around 12 weeks), then minimal watering is needed. Remove spent flower stems to tidy and encourage new growth.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH: Approx. 30–60 cm high x 30 cm wide.
